Catlinite (or pipestone) is a deep reddish color when polished and finished. Stones vary from 1 - 1 3/4" thick. Can be worked with standard woodworking tools, including knives and files. Please check stones carefully before you start carving. Breakage due to faults in the stone happen, and are not our responsibility. We will accept returns of uncarved stones. Sorry, we no longer carry soapstone (the gray stone). |
